Selecting a Journal

Deciding which journal to publish in can be challenging. Here are some points to consider and resources to help you choose an appropriate journal for your research.

Don't sign on the dotted line without being aware of your rights as an author! Head to the Author Rights and Copyright tab next to find out more information about author/publisher agreements, transfer of copyright, and your options for retaining rights to your work.

Think. Check. Submit!

With so many academic journals available, and new journals and research being released every day, how can you tell where to publish? What should you look for, and what should you avoid? Think. Check. Submit. is a cross-industry initiative that aims to help authors identify trustworthy journals. This initiative provides a checklist for authors of what to look for to help you make an informed decision on where to publish.
