Covidence: What is Covidence and how do I sign up?

What is Covidence?

Covidence is an online tool that streamlines parts of the systematic review process. It makes it easy to screen references (both title/abstract and full-text), create and populate data extraction forms, and complete your risk of bias tables. You can also divide up the work among your team of reviewers, and track the progress of the project.

How do I sign up?

There are two options to use Covidence:

  • Free trial: You can try out Covidence with a free trial.
    • Limited to one review with two reviewers
    • Can only upload 500 citations for screening
  • Join Himmelfarb Library's subscription
    • Unlimited reviews
    • Multiple reviewers permitted (although each step can only be reviewed by two reviewers)
    • Can upload up to 15,000 citations for screening (50MB file size limit, no limit on the number of files that can be imported)

Adding Reviewers

Once you've created a review in Covidence, you can invite others to join the project and participate as reviewers. Your collaborators do not need to be affiliated with GW in order to participate in your review.
