Welcome to the Health Outcomes Research Guide

The resources in this guide represent the items that Himmelfarb Library owns from the AcademyHealth Health Outcomes Core Library Recommendations, 2011.  This list of resources is intended to provide a set of core, authoritative resources to guide library collection development in this area.

What are Health Outcomes?

Health outcomes research involves the study of healthcare procedures and treatments to determine their overall effect (or outcome) by using well-studied and researched instruments.   This research is done with the goal of measuring the result of these healthcare interventions in terms of meaningful health outcomes such as mortality.
