Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery: Document Delivery (materials owned by Himmelfarb)

A guide to Interlibrary Loan and document delivery services at Himmelfarb.

Onsite Document Delivery

Himmelfarb houses a limited number of bound journals in our onsite storage stacks. This area is closed to patrons at all times. If you would like to retrieve a particular article, you may use Documents2Go to submit your request, choosing the "Document Delivery" option. Onsite document delivery via email is free of charge for SMHS, SON, and GWSPH faculty, staff, and students. All other patrons are subject to a $4 fee for this service.

You can also request book chapters from our stacks collection through this service. Please indicate that your request is a book chapter, and provide the call number from the catalog.

Offsite Document Delivery

Some of our journal holdings are held at a storage facility shared by the Washington Regional Library Consortium. Items were selected to be moved off-site if they were published prior to 1980 or if they had little recent usage. Also held off-site are a number of journals to which the library no longer subscribes. Please consult the Library Catalog to determine if a journal is held off-site, or contact the Reference Desk staff at (202) 994-2850.

Photocopies of articles in off-site storage may be requested at no charge by GWSPH, SON, and SMHS students, faculty and staff. Submit your request electronically via Documents2Go.
