Anatomical Models Added to the Himmelfarb Collection

New Anatomical Models

Himmelfarb Library now offers nine new anatomical models for student use. SMHS anatomy and occupational therapy faculty alongside GWSPH exercise science faculty surveyed an extensive list of possible models for purchase and recommended these as vital additions to the library’s non-print collection.

The models purchased include:

3D Printed Head & Visceral Column of the Neck

The models are available in the Bloedorn Technology Center (BTC), third floor of Himmelfarb Library, along with our existing collection of models and articulated and disarticulated skeletons (both real and replica). All models come with accompanying descriptive guides.

Models are freely accessible on tables and shelves throughout the main area of the Technology Center (where the IT Help Desk is located) with no checkout required. For their safekeeping, we ask that the models, skeletons, and bone boxes not be taken outside of the BTC, but students can move the models and bones to our collaborative tables for additional room and to work in small groups.
