Surgery Residency: Wireless Access & Clinical Systems

GW MFA TouchWorks Access

MFA Touchworks login via desktop/laptop computer

  1. Check that Citrix Workspace (formerly Citrix Receiver) is installed on your computer.
  2. Open a web browser, then access the website https://citrix.mfa.gwu.edu
  3. Login to Citrix using your personal login and password.
  4. Double-click the Citrix Allscripts TouchWorks icon
  5. A launch.ica file will automatically download; click on the file, then click to permit use, if needed.
  6. Login to Allscripts using your personal login/password

GW Hospital Clinical Systems

 

  1. Download app from iTunes: Citrix Workspace
  2. Access the GW Hospital Remote Portal.  
  3. Login then click on Activate in upper right-hand corner.

GW University Hospital Wireless

The GW Hospital provides several wireless access from within the GW Hospital; to access the guest wireless network which does not require a login/password: 

  1. Select GWHOSPITAL wireless network.
  2. Consent to user agreement.
  3. Login/pwd not required, but you will need to select this wireless network each time you want to use it.

George Washington University Wireless

Wireless access to the GW computer network is available from Himmelfarb Library, Ross Hall Room 201, and from other areas on campus. Wireless access is available to GWU students, faculty, and staff only.

Instructions for connecting to GWireless

  1. Connect to the 'GWireless' network from your device's list of available networks.
  2. When prompted, provide your GW NetID and password.
  3. After a Certificate screen displays, select Accept.

Note: Devices Running on Windows 7 Operating System may require additional measures: If you are a Windows 7 user and have difficulty connecting, select the GWconnect wireless network, and launch your web browser. On the GWconnect web page, select "connect to GWireless". and on the subsequent page, click on "Windows 7 users click here" link to install the necessary profile. If required this will only be necessary the first time you set up each device.

GWemail

On a desktop computer:

  1. Access your GWemail account, then select 'Settings'.
  2. In Settings, select the tab for 'Forwarding and POP/IMAP'.
  3. Select 'Enable IMAP' then click 'Save Changes'.

On your phone:

  1. Select 'Add Account' and Google
  2. Account information should be added in this format: your_net_id@email.gwu.edu
