Author Services from Himmelfarb: Getting Started

Resources and services for GW authors in the health sciences

Resources for Authors

Getting Started

Scholarly publishing is a constantly evolving landscape. This guide was created by the Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library to support GW students and researchers from the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, the School of Nursing, and the Milken Institute School of Public Health in publishing and disseminating their research. The goal of Himmelfarb's author services are to help reduce the administrative burdens associated with research and publishing.

Himmelfarb can assist GW authors from SMHS, SPH, and SON with tasks including digital archiving for conference posters, identifying relevant  journals for research dissemination, and creating and maintaining researcher profiles in ORCiD  and author profiles in additional systems including Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science. Himmelfarb can also help to direct researchers working on NIH grant proposals to resources related to creating a Data Management and Sharing Plan (DMSP).

GW Nursing, SMHS, and SPH affiliates can use the forms listed below to request assistance:

Scholarly Communications Short Video Tutorials
