Welcome to Himmelfarb's Continuing Education (CE) guide! Here you'll find information on the various resources we subscribe to that offer CME and CNE credits, as well as instructions on how to access them.
GW SMHS Continuing Education for Health Professions
The School of Medicine and Health Sciences' Continuing Education for Health Professions (CEHP) program offers activities like regularly scheduled Grand Rounds, live courses and symposiums, and home study courses. Contact them at cehp@gwu.edu with any questions.
Databases
- DynaMed CEDynaMed offers both CME, CNE and MOC credits for internet Point of Care (PoC) activities. These activities are online, self-directed, and consist of 3 steps that demonstrate reflection on clinical practice.
- ClinicalKeyClinicalKey offers CME credits for eligible searches conducted through their database. In order to access this feature, you must create a free personal account first.
- ClinicalKey for NursingClinicalKey for Nursing offers CNE credits. In order to access this feature, you must create a free personal account first.
- AccessMedicineAccessMedicine offers CME credits for searches conduct through their site. Conduct your search and complete an evaluation form describing how you applied the results from that search.
Journals and Journal Publishers
- JAMA LearningHimmelfarb users receive free CME and MOC activities from JAMA every year. In order to receive the activities, you must access the link above from on-campus or while logged in to the VPN, and create a free account. The activities will then be credited to your account.
