Staff Directory: Ruth Bueter

Hi Everyone,

I've been a library at Himmelfarb Library since 2015. As Associate Director of Library Operations, I coordinate the library's behind-the-scenes activities, including our journal, book, and database collections, cataloging, institutional repository, interlibrary loan, and technology and web services. Over the years, I've also managed our journal collection and consulted with authors on predatory publishers and where to publish their research. I enjoy reading, playing piano, knitting, cooking, baking, hiking, and watching baseball and hockey when I'm not at work. I also love to travel. A fun fact about me is that I took a flying trapeze class to celebrate a milestone birthday, was instantly hooked, and spent about a year taking classes before the pandemic.
