COVID-19 Intelligence Reports were produced from March 2020 through March 2021 to update GW leadership. COVID-19 Intelligence Unit Research Briefs were produced to address specific research topics and were produced from April 2020 until January 2022.  Infectious Disease Updates were produced by the GW Division of Infectious Diseases from March 2020 to March 2022.  The archived reports are now available as collections in the Health Sciences Research Commons and can be accessed below:

GW University Policies

See the GW Coronavirus Response page for current University policy (last updated March 2024).

  • The University strongly recommends but no longer requires vaccination.
  • Masks are optional but may be required in some spaces such as health care facilities.
  • COVID-19 testing, contact tracing and related services have concluded. The University will continue to monitor the incidence of COVID-19  and make adjustments to policies as needed to support the health and safety of the community.
  • Students should continue to visit the Student Health Center for their medical needs, and faculty and staff should consult with their physicians. Community members should follow CDC guidance on steps to take if you are sick.
