The fourth step of EBM is to apply the evidence you have found to the situation.

Questions you might ask: Are these studies relevant to your patient’s case? Does the suggested intervention violate your patient’s values?

Step 5: Assess

The final step of EBM is to assess the effectiveness of your clinical decision.

Questions you might ask: Was your intervention successful? What was your patient's attitude toward the treatment plan? What could you have done differently?
