Search Strategies for clinical trials
Search for clinical trials using PICO terms: Population or Patient type, Intervention, Comparison (if any), or Outcomes desired. Includes unpublished trials.
Search federally funded clinical trials. Reports early results when available. Links out to PubMed records when published
Use the article type filter links on the left side of the PubMed results page to select Clinical Trials or a specific trial type see https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/help/#publication-types. By default not all these article types show up so to display them on your PubMed results page, scroll down and click the Additional filters button on the left and choose which article types you want to display. Includes mostly peer reviewed published trial results, also some non-peer-reviewed preprints.
