Returns & Fines

Returning Items

  • Print and AV Reserve materials must be returned directly to the Library Circulation Desk  to avoid late fees.
  • Do not return Himmelfarb Library materials to Gelman Library, Burns Law Library, or any consortium libraries; fines will continue to accrue unless materials are returned directly to Himmelfarb Library.

  • DVDs and CDs accrue a daily overdue fee of 50 cents. Items that are overdue for more than three weeks are automatically subject to replacement fees of $25/item plus the cost of the item. Replacement fees will be waived if the material is returned.
  • Fines may be paid at the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the library. You may pay fines and fees with a credit or debit card (Visa or MasterCard), check, or money order.
  • All fines accrued on books borrowed through the Consortium Loan Service must be paid directly to the lending library.
  • All borrowers, including faculty, are subject to overdue fines.
