New Database: GlyGen
Himmelfarb’s GlyGen database is live! GlyGen is a data integration and dissemination project for carbohydrate and glycoconjugate related data and is accessible through our databases.

2025 Art Show - Now Accepting Submissions
Calling all artists, photographers, and crafty hands! Our 2025 annual Art Show is just around the corner and we want to see what creative endeavors you are the most proud of! The first day of our show will take place on Tuesday, April 22nd at the Himmelfarb Library lobby and will run until May 15th. We are currently looking for submissions of almost all mediums or formats, physical submissions can be brought to the Circulation desk; or emailed to Temitayo Wolff at himmelfarb@gwu.edu.

CINAHL - PICOT tool
CINAHL's new search interface offers the option to search by PICOT (Population/patient/problem, Intervention, Comparisons, Outcome, Time) in addition to searching by keyword and CINAHL subject terms. To search by PICOT, select PICOT just above the search boxes on the CINAHL search page.

Virtual Reality (VR) Headsets
The Library’s Virtual Reality Headsets are available to be used at Himmelfarb! If you are unsure how to use our Headsets, Ian Roberts hosts an informative session every 4th Wednesday of the Month in the afternoon on the First Floor of the Library near the Circulation Desk. If you have any questions or would like to inquire further about our Headsets, please contact Ian at imroberts@gwu.edu.

Video Streaming selection
If you are looking for audio or visual materials, Himmelfarb’s digital collection, which currently offers access to 46 documentaries related to public health and health policy can be viewed through our website. If you are offsite, make sure that you are connected to GW’s VPN before accessing these videos.

Data Preservation Efforts and Data Sources
A new Data Preservation Efforts and Data Sources research guide is now available from Himmelfarb Library's website to support users in finding and preserving research datasets.  This research guide is the result of work by the Research Data Management Task Force, a collaborative effort between Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library, Libraries and Academic Innovation, GW Information Technology, the Office of the Vice Provost for Research, and the Office of Ethics, Compliance, and Risk.
