Enhance Your Workflow with Library Docking Monitors

A docking monitor is a second screen that connects to your laptop with a single cable, instantly expanding your workspace and powering your devices. It expands your available workspace. Rather than flipping between tabs, for example, you can view a pair of datasets side-by-side on separate monitors.

Himmelfarb Library has recently installed new docking monitors to support our students, faculty, and staff who need expanded screen space and convenient device charging while working. No reservations are necessary; just walk up and start using it!

Key Features:

  • Plug-and-Play Setup: No installation required! Just connect your device using the provided USB-C cable.
  • Display & Charging: Extend your screen and charge your device simultaneously through a single connection.
  • Cross-Platform Compatibility: Supports Windows, macOS, and Chrome OS.
  • Included Accessories: Each station is equipped with a USB-C cable, mouse, and keyboard.

Locations (look for posted docking monitor signs):

  • 3 in the first-floor study carrels across from the right-facing WEPA printer
  • 5 in the Bloedorn Technology Center (BTC) study carrels
  • 6 in the BTC’s Middle Computer Lab
