Autumn is here!
As we cool down from summer temperatures, we are happy to announce that we will be holding two seasonal events at the Himmelfarb Library.
LGBTQ+ Health
Himmelfarb Library has just released a new LGBTQ+ Health Research Guide that addresses LGBTQ+ healthcare in the clinical and research setting, and links to local resources at GW and in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.
Fall Coloring Session
On Monday, October 28th we invite you to take a study break and to join us for our Fall coloring contest! Join for fun, or to compete for a prize, we all look forward to seeing your colorful creations. Coloring sheets and supplies will be provided on the first floor of the Himmelfarb Library.
Fall Colors Photo Contest
Calling all photographers and cell phone picture-takers! We want to see your best Autumnal colors captured in a photograph. From October 14th to November 1st, photo submissions will be accepted from faculty, students, and staff in GW SMHS, SPH, and Nursing. Keep your eyes out on Himmelfarb’s blog, The Rotation, for more information regarding the contest.
2nd floor silent study area
“Shh, this is a library!”
In case you haven’t heard, the second floor is intended to be a quiet study area for our graduate-level students. If you have a study group, please feel free to reserve a room to collaborate on your research together. Otherwise, we ask that you remain quiet if you are on the second floor.
Library Comics
Our very own Rebecca Kyser has shared with us her library and research-themed comics! Take a look to see Rebecca’s latest comic at: https://blogs.gwu.edu/himmelfarb/2024/09/25/comic-librarians-101/
Happy Autumn!
From the Himmelfarb Library, we wish you all a safe and enjoyable autumn season!
