Himmelfarb Library recently added a new 3D printer to its inventory: the Bambu X1 Carbon 3D. This printer offers several new and enhanced features:
- Its high-speed printing capacity allows us to print your requested object in a fraction of the time it takes on standard 3D printers.
- The Bambu can handle up to four different filaments simultaneously during the printing process, which enables the printing of multi-colored objects.
- It also features a webcam that can generate a time-lapse video recording of the printing process.
To find ready-to-print models, please explore the following websites
- NIH 3D Print Exchange: A repository for 3D models of objects related to the biomedical sciences and curated by the National Institutes of Health.
- Thingiverse: a popular repository for sharing all kinds of 3D models, with over 1 million files available for download.
