Laura Abate, MSLS, Director
FACULTY: Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine
BIO: Laura Abate is the Library Director and has 20+ years library experience in research and instruction and electronic resources access and management. She began her career in research/reference and has collaborated extensively with faculty members in developing searches to support educational, human, and animal research projects. Her electronic resources work focused on integrating information sources and services in the clinical environment, and in delivering information via mobile devices. She holds a certificate from the GW Graduate School of Education and Human Development’s Master Teacher Leadership Development Program. Ms. Abate’s primary teaching responsibilities include 1st and second year medical students.
Laura serves as a Liaison Librarian to the following areas:
>> Anesthesiology
>> Medicine
>> Surgery
